Student Life

House System

Chesterton Academy’s House system is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students the opportunity to take ownership, fulfill the call to leadership, and to cultivate the ideal conditions for virtue. Each House has two Senior and two Junior prefects, two faculty advisors, and several parent liaisons.

Athletics

Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame will seek to offer sports programs. In the first few years, we will rely upon parent volunteers and we may also join other homeschooling athletic programs and or local private school teams. Students will always have the choice to play for a high school sports team in the school district they reside in if Notre Dame does not offer the sport, per WIAA rules. Because the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit we will encourage sports at every level and will seek to build upon our initial offerings so that we may provide a strong athletic program. Below are some programs we hope to offer.
